Dr. James Jenkins, a licensed chiropractic physician, graduated from the National University of Health Sciences, NUHS, in Lombard, Illinois in 1988. He practices in Lombard, Illinois with specific attention given to whole health and optimal fitness. As a certified strength and conditioning specialist, CSCS, he has taught several teams, groups, and individuals the use of proper techniques while performing specific exercise.
Dr. Jenkins can implement his knowledge of rehabilitation to evaluate, diagnose and treat conditions related to postural stress, repetitious injuries, chronic pain syndromes and sports-related injuries. He has become an expert in his field and is currently teaching rehabilitative exercise and chiropractic manipulation at NUHS, passing on his knowledge to future doctors.
Dr. Jenkins is the creator and producer of the Core4Training® DVD, Booklet and Manual. This program promotes the proper utilization of essential musculature during exercise, with specific attention given to the stabilizing systems of the neck, shoulder, lower back, and pelvis. This program has been taught to chiropractic students and physicians, fitness trainers, teams, and coaches, as well as to specialty groups, such as firefighters, martial arts groups and women’s clubs.
Dr. Jenkins received a master’s degree in advanced clinical Practice, from the NUHS, in August of 2009. This higher degree of education has given him advanced training in orthopedic and neurological examinations, radiology and advanced imaging, functional assessment of laboratory studies, pharmaceutical studies, and clinical nutrition. This training allows Jenkins Chiropractic to offer the diagnosis and management of such conditions as neck and lower back pain, chronic fatigue, depression, weight gain/loss, metabolic syndrome, Type II Diabetes, low energy, allergies, irritable bowel disorders, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, hypertension, headaches, dizziness, rheumatoid arthritis and more.
At Jenkins Chiropractic, a variety of services are offered from spinal decompression and manual manipulation to postural training and therapeutic exercise, to nutritional intervention and meal planning, as well as cold laser application. An individual plan will be developed, and specific goals will be established as we help each patient return to their optimal health.
